The Best Laid Plans....

You know what they say about the best laid plans....Despite my resolution to read only books from my personally owned TBR stacks (don't worry, I have plenty of books) and the resolution to only sign up for challenges which I can meet reading my own books, I'm still adding challenges to my list like they're going out of style. I may not reach 40-some challenges again-- (Yes, I'm currently rushing around madly trying to cram as many books in between work and holiday preparation as I can...)--BUT I have already grabbed up 16 challenges for 2016 and this year isn't even over. So, you all know I'm in as a self-proclaimed Challenge Addict.

How about you? How many of those bad boys have you already added to the list for 2016?

A Word From Our Sponsor

Hi folks, it's your rather silent hostess here. How has the challenge world treated you this past year? Have you gotten your fill of challenges? Are you planning to cut back? Or do you foresee 2016 as another year of Challenge gluttony?

Why do I ask? Well...I was wondering if you all want me to set us up for another year of Challenge Addicts Anonymous? I know that Gina and Cheryl (those ladies who originally launched this challenge) will laugh long and loud if they happen to stop by and read this (and they won't believe me), but I plan on cutting back on my challenges in a serious way in 2016. I sponsor another challenge called the Mount TBR Reading Challenge and every year I read 100 books from my stacks--but it doesn't help a bit. 'Cause, you see, my book-buying habit is even worse than my challenge habit and I manage to buy more books than I push off the TBR pile. So, in the coming year my plan is to only sign up for challenges that encourage me to read from my own stacks--that means cutting out those that have categories that will push me out of my comfort zone or read books that I have to borrow from the library just to fulfill a category.

Let me know what you think in the comments. If there's still enough interest, I will get a new round up and ready by the beginning of December.
